Jonathan Samuels - 30 July 2010
On Monday we took a gaggle of journalists (is there a collective term for a group of journalists?) on a day out, comprising a gastronomic tasting at Heston Blumenthal's Hinds Head in Bray followed by a champagne cruise along the Thames to Royal Windsor race course.
Predictably, some of the group were left nursing big hangovers the next day. Even more predictably, most of us were left out of pocket.
Some of the horses we backed would have been better off lugging nippers around Blackpool Beach, they were that slow.
Thankfully, the same can't be said of Drawbridge Finance. Earlier this month we completed our fastest ever deal - from submission to completion in under 48 hours. The case involved an auction purchase for investment purposes that was rejected by a high street lender because the property didn't have a bathroom (a ludicrous scenario but one that you've doubtless come across in the past).
The case arrived mid-morning on 13 July via recorded delivery from Bournemouth-based packager, Positive Lending, and, given the experience and quality of the borrower, was offered within two hours of being underwritten.
On 14 July, specialist lender services law firm, Pure Law, carried out all the necessary legal work and on 15 July, less than 48 hours after being submitted, funds were released by Drawbridge Finance and the case completed.
So there you go. The nags at Royal Windsor might not be up to much but if you're in need of speed, Drawbridge Finance will do its best to get your case through as fast as it can.
